Getting a Mortgage After IVA

Hi, myself and my missus completed our IVA 18 months ago. We are now in a position to buy our council house.
It has been valued at £170,000 less the discount which we are entitled to of £75000 = £95,000.
We have total annual salaries of £32,000 and have managed to save a deposit of £10,000.
The only outgoings other than utility bills at the moment is our £430/month council rent.
I haven't looked for a mortgage yet, i will be shortly.

Any advice as to where to get one would be great.

Well done for completing your IVA 18 months ago, hopefully you have taken out some form of credit and been making regular payments ever since.

You need to contact a whole of market broker really and stay off the high street until your fixed rate ends. You only have an approx 10% deposit not including fees so you may struggle but good luck !
