Hi
Booking a trip and clever hotels has my hotel at £50 cheaper than anyone else. I've never heard if them though-are they ok. Are they normally so much cheaper? £199 on Expedia (cheapest) and £150 on CH? Ta x

Check the hotel's own website to see if they have a best rate guarantee.
If they do, and Clever Hotels are an official agent, then the hotel will match it. If they do and Clever Hotels aren't an official agent, then you've dodged a bullet.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. like you i was worried when I booked with them, I rarely use 3rd party bookings for hotels in Vegas but the price I got with Clever hotels was very good. Not long after I booked with them (end of last year) I emailed the hotel and asked a random question and if they had my booking for April, all was well and everything went without a hitch when I arrived at check in.
There are some bad reviews that i didnt see when I booked.
They are a german company.
At the end of the day is it worth it to you0 -
I've booked with them a few times, as they seem to come up cheapest on Trivago quite a lot. From what I can gather, thy just book the rooms through a selection of bed banks.0

Most of the companies on trivago and other comparison sites book their rooms thru bed banks like YOU TRAVEL etc
Rarely who you book with is the actual agent. They are all intermediaries. Im sure Clever Hotels will be the same.
They seem to be hot on USA and Canada prices, not so good for Europe.
Side note.
Book a room thru comparison site off season ie Feb in Algarve.
Apt is £8 per night on comparison site ie https://www.hotelscomparison.com . Say quickrooms give 3% commission to comparison site. NOW TRAVEL maybe give quickrooms 5%. NOW TRAVEL must make at least 5%. So the apartment is probably about £6 per night wholesale.
I have tried booking direct, but they are wanting double.

I booked a hotel in Sea Point (Cape Town) for four of us for four nights. The price was far better than on other websites.
I had to pay in advance but our reservations could have been cancelled for refund. (I think that aspect depends on the hotel so may not be universal.)
We already knew the hotel having stayed there several times before, so we were familiar with its standards.
On the basis of just one experience, I would be happy to book again, provided that the price was right, of course.
I'm looking at hotels in Fuerteventura and am finding that German websites via trivago.de are far more competitive than via trivago.co.uk.0 -
