Does anyone know if it is possible to claim against a product supplier in the case of PPI where the premiums or excessive costs cause my credit rating to be damaged?

Your problem is not PPI then.
If you want to complain it was missold, you can. If you want to take someone to court for damaging your credit rating, good luck with that.

You can claim - anyone can - but you will lose. You always had the option of cancelling the PPI if you couldn't afford the premiums.
