If you have a bargain basement broker like X-O, or an investment platform that wants to focus on funds instead of full service brokerage, you will get restricted choices. But that's just what the provider wants to offer you. From HMRC's side, they will let you have it in an ISA if it's listed on a recognised stock exchange( which these days will include London AIM as well as all the major international markets). I've held foreign stocks in ISAs and SIPPs with TD Direct and Youinvest among others.0
