Warning: Superdrug online orders

Has anyone else had this problem?

Tried to place an order this morning on Superdrug website. Entered my credit card details which was promptly declined. Went back to the payments page and saw that the card end date was wrong, so - thinking that I must have had a senior moment - I corrected it, re-entered the CV2 code, checked everything else was correct and tried again. Same result. Went back to the payments page and saw that my card end date details were NOT what I had entered  Cancelled the whole thing and emailed Superdrug to query if there site is malfunctioning.

10 minutes later I got a call from my card providers security team. They had noticed the 2 declined transactions and told me that not only was the card end date wrong but the CV2 code was wrong too! I am always meticulous when entering card details online so I know that it wasn't my error. No harm done as the card company is satisfied that nothing dodgy was going on but I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue with Superdrug??

You sure you entered them correctly?
I cant see how the payment process page could auto create digits.

Did you even read the OP?

It stated quite clearly that the OP is quite confident that they were.

Well, it didn't autocorrect, did it?

    It autoerrored.

Well that's it then. battleborn has said it can't happen. And we must all believe him/her.

Card start and end dates are usually entered using drop-down boxes so the site wouldn't be creating digits, just selecting those that are already there.
If it was this month then it could be a default setting.

It's OK, schools break up soon so battleborn won't have access to the internet over the holidays.

Not really. Goater actually posted some quite intelligent stuff from time to time. It was just that he would never let anything go. (Not that anyone could ever accuse me of that nono.gif).

He seems to have gone into semi-retirement after a spell of being PPR'd a while back.
