Secret escapes cancellation policy

Can anyone help? We have booked a holiday with secret escapes but due to unforeseen circumstances we need to move the dates, we have contacted them twice and they have liased with the hotel but they are unable to move the dates.
We have asked for a refund and the hotel have refused.Secret escapes have offered to try again to move the dates but there is no availability.
Secret escapes have said its down to the hotel if they refund is that right? Or is it secret escapes who should refund as they sold us the deal?
The hotel is part of a large group can we request an alternative date at another hotel in the group?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.

What does it say in the Terms and Conditions about their cancellation policy? You have no automatic refund rights due to change of mind I suspect.0

Do you have travel insurance? One important thing to remember is that when you get to the end of this sentence, you'll realise it's just my sig.0

The unforeseen circumstances are your issue, not theirs, so they don't have to do anything.0

When did you book it?
Read the T&Cs of the contract you signed and see what they say about cancelling. Perhaps you could ask which available dates they DO have?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
I don't know what their Ts&Cs say, but it sounds like they're really trying to make sure you get the holiday rather than saying they can't refund so you have to lose out. x0
