Free travel insurance outside Europe

I am after a new account or credit card or something that offers free travel insurance as a bonus?

Are there any good special offers for travel insurance for a family to the far East?

I can find offers for free travel ins new bank accounts around Europe but not what I want?

I don't think you will find anything for free. Some premium bank accounts do but you will have to pay a fee of £10pm or similar.

See this page and enter "World" in the travel insurance box:

I am still not finding anything, they are all for european only.

Anyone know of any offers for worldwide travel insurance? I would love to find an account for £10 per month or something that offers worldwide travel ins.

    You're not looking hard enough!

The first link provided by Reaper above shows no fewer than 5 accounts meeting your criteria (ie from £10 to £15 per month). One of the £10/month accounts even pays 3% in-credit interest!

Look again? (select 'world' in the drop down box and then scroll down the page)

I think the Nationwide account that offers free European travel insurance can be upgraded to worldwide for not insane costs.

I'd seriously do the sums, though, as to whether £10-15pm would be better spent on actually buying some insurance - the cover on an account might only be individual, or might be limited in some way.

If you qualify for an HSBC premier account they have a worldwide travel insurance policy included in the benefits and it does not cost you

Why not just buy the travel insurance?

Annual policy would be around £50 so cheaper than a £10pm bank account.

One example. As per BBC disclaimer other travel insurance providers are available too

Worth noting also that Santander has announced an intention to close its packaged current accounts. Perhaps an indication of others doing the same?

From the top of my head, I'm sure Barclays offer a current account which can have worldwide family travel insurance added for around £12 p/m, and I would expect there is similar options at other banks. I'm sure I remember Natwest also having a worldwide insurance option.
