JS'agreement

AS far as I have understood when you sign a JS agreement, it should be valid for 13 weeks, or am I mistake?
It's still not two months since I claimed JSA.
As far I have understood, I am allowed to search for a job according to my qualifications for the first 13 weeks. Later the adviser can make some changes.
Is it not like that?
I am asking, because my sign-in adviser is a bit pushy.
Thanks for your help

13 weeks is the maximum duration of a permitted period. I can be (and often should be) shorter, or it's possible a permitted period will not apply

An agreement can be amended or changed at any period, it is standard to review it every three months. A permitted period is for 13 weeks and only applicable at the start of a claim if an adviser agrees it is reasonable.

Maybe it's changed but I thought it was allowed to focus on one's normal occupation and that's not necessarily the same as a job according to one's qualifications that one might not have actually done.

Regardless of that, a JSAG may be changed at any time. For example, while you might be allowed the 13 weeks to search for one particular occupation, it might be considered that the 'actions' were too few or no longer appropriate.

Obviously you can agree or disagree.

But if a new resource opened up and it was appropriate for you to use it, you'd probably agree.

But the part that was okay for 13 weeks would still stay for the remainder of the period.

    There is no automatic rule.
If you had a long history in one career and what you were looking for was reasonable (eg you don't want to be an oil rig worker in Bournemouth or expect a London salary in Newquay) then I would give you a month then reassess it ie I wouldn't be expecting you to look for a minimum wage job if you had a long career history.
I would give four weeks and consider more if you looked like you were really searching, wouldn't give an automatic three month (13 week) blanket.
