Parkingeye - county court

Hi,

After looking on the internet and taking advice on this company, I have ignored all their demands. I have now received a County Court claim form. Help! What should I do?

Get a defence put together and ask for time to do it.

Over on pepipoo there are about a dozen of more PE court case threads - they have been busy. My suggestion is to read these - they go over 2 or 3 pages and are current.

Not trying to duck out, but they are already up and running on there and if you want advice that has been thought out, visit there while waiting for comments here.

Over a hundred being defended by pepipoo I think. :)

I added a smiley face above because that is the way to go I am sure. No point just paying against these bullies IMHO (although it is your money and your time/peace of mind of course), especially as even if they win they can only claim under the POF Act, the amount on the Notice to Keeper plus court fees. Could be as little as an extra £15 bulk processing claim, plus a hearing fee and maybe £50 expenses if the judge allows that. And that's IF they win which is not a fait accompli with a decent defence.

Pepipoo are very busy at the moment with these, so here's some info which may help to start with:

My post #23 gives links to examples summarising what to do and a few pointers of what to consider. Acknowledge the claim & say you will defend in full!

Also people have had success by COMPLAINING to the retailer/occupier of the car park about the harassment (but you must still acknowledge the claim in time, of course, or you hand them a default win).

    Was it Aldi?
