How can I install Power Point

Hi I have a copy of office 2000 that came with my old computer. It has word, excel, outlook, power point on one cd and MS publisher on a separate cd. I want to install some of these programs on my new computer.
I only want to install power point as I have no use for the other programs
I can install cd1 and everything will run fine until I try to use word....then everything uninstalls automatically. I already have Word 2002 installed on my computer and was wondering if this is causing a conflict. Is there anyway of just installing the power point. If so how do I do it?
TIA

Just as you are installing there should be an option pops up to see if you want a standard install or custom, if you click custome then you can just tick which ones you want to install. hth0

I would also check the licence as some copies of Office are tied to a specific pc..0

If the copy off office you have came with the old pc it is possible that it is an OEM copy, that means that the license is for that PC only and dies with that pc using it on another PC even with installing from the old pc is still illegal. OEM usually come as a CD case and the disks no box or anything.
but if you do want to live on the wild side then you can perform a custom installation and just install the parts you want to install0 -
If this fails to intall you can always download Open Office for free, see http://www.openoffice.org/product/impress.html0
