Broken front door step brick, advice please

Hi Can anyone come up with anything clever to repair our problem?

We bashed something on the front door step the other day and a piece of brick broke off about 1cm thick. We have a row of bricks side by side as the front of the step and although the brick could be chiseled out and replaced I would prefer if possible to replace the chip and give that a try rather than go to all that work of removing the old one and trying to buy one to match etc etc.

It looks horrible now, but can anybody tell me anything about how it could be stuck back, is there something which would hold?

Any help appreciated.

I am just repairing a step (mind you its concrete)

If you dont mind painting step you can get some waterproof polyfilla it sets rock hard. It wouldn't match bare brick as its grey but if you dont mind painting the step with masonry paint it would look as good as new.

Other than that you can also get concrete in tubs that set in 30mins, but you have to do same as above.

Or as you suggest chisel it out and replace.

Polyfilla is £2 at Wilkos, I used it for step and patching up some chipped bricks but I did paint with masonry paint
