So had to move as landlord was selling
Rented via a letting agent. House has suffered unresolved damp issues the majority of the tenancy. Letting agent have said that out of £425 that we would only receive £100 back. The reason being they say is the cost for them to have garden waste removed. branches and grass that could not fit in the brown bin over the years. We places at back of garden in a compost heap. every summer we would burn it all but this year we could not.
As I live nearby I often have to pass that way and noticed they have a skip outside the property already. In which they are stripping down the place and doing up to sell. 325 is what their person is saying for him to remove the stuff and skip hire.
My deposit has been confirmed as not being in any rent deposit scheme as tenancy pre-ceded the requirement.
Is it worth me pursuing the £325 especially because of the damp issues which they agreed the failed to tackle. I never missed a payment of rent and got on well with the neighbours
325 is a lot of money to lose over some grass

The damp is a red herring. Irrelevant.
If you did not leave the garden as it was when youmoved in, and it needs clearing, then the cost of clearing it is justified.
But £325 does sound a lot for a garden contractor. That is perhaps two guys for a full day depending where you are.
You've been there since before 2007 then?0 -
