Ukcps £100 fine parking out of marked bay

I have recently received my first parking tickets and not to sure how to handle this. The story so far I received a ticket from UKCPS at a retail park where I spent a lot of money at m/care as I'm expecting my first. I return to my car which was not parked out of the bay  but one of my front tyres was slightly on the white line. The fine was for £100 which was discounted to £60 if paid 14 days
!! I decided to appeal against this as I felt this was very unfair I was clearly not causing any disruption or danger to anyone.
I have since received a reply from UKCPS and was told they would not enter into discussions and my correspondence had no grounds to uphold my appeal.
I really do not have a £100 spare to pay these fools as u can imagine.
Grateful if anyone can help??

Write back saying that you deny that you contravened anything. You want photographic evidence as recommended by the BPA and POPLA. You further believe that they have no lawful contract that permits them to pursue drivers for these ridiculous amounts.
Furthermore, you demand that they either cancel the charge or that they supply you with a POPLA code by return. Failure to do either will result in a formal complaint going to the BPA.
If you didn't why didn't you take a photo with your mobile camera??0 -
NO I don't have a pic, I know this sounds stupid but I panicked and instantly decided to pay the £60 fine no question asked & no hassle. but after checking my bank balance and discussing this with family I reconsidered.
also I'm not the registered keeper.0 -
Please don't call it a "fine", it's not, it's just an invoice.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Go to Mothercare with your receipts and the fake ticket demand they get it cancelled. Tell them that if they don't you see all the stuff on the receipts you'll be coming back to get a refund and you'll go to toysrus/Smyths etc for these items instead. Demand to speak to the store manager.
Also why not embarrass the hell out of them on Facebook ? Theres currently a campaign on the Aldi Facebook page about these unlawful penalties

We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

As you are pregnant you are protected to a certain extent by the maternity provision of the Equality Act 2010. Not that UKCPS care about that Act, we know they are unimpressed with ''Forum Guru's'' like me.
You need a 10-digit POPLA code to appeal this and win, so DEMAND ONE in a reply (unless they've given you a POPLA code?). You'll need our help to write it. I presume in your appeal you've already admitted you were the driver (not a good plan if you did - but we can still help you here).
DO NOT pay, put your cheque book away! You'd be sending money to a notorious bunch of chancers whose HQ is apparently round the back of the Blooming Rose pub in Leeds.
And DO NOT RESPOND to any pm's offering to 'help' or pretending the same thing happened to them, asking for detail of where/when. UKCPS' Head tea boy Peter Haswell - or maybe the other faceless chap with the spectacles and broken toenail!! - reads this forum as PPC employees don't actually have a real job. So keep all discussion on this forum and get that POPLA code so we can help you word a winning appeal - it's only one email!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Hi life/money savers
I haven't been able to send a reply until now as I've been so ill. Should i date my letter from when I received the rejection or from today? I'm not sure if my delay of this letter makes any difference?
To answers question above no ukcps did not send me a POPLA code instead wrote the following in the first rejection letter, "you may also appeal to an independent assessor through POPLA details of which will be sent at the appropriate time if requested. I did admit I was the driver.:(
My Reply after your advice goes something like this, ..?
TO UKCPS,
Firstly I would like to express how discusted I am with you, how you are unable to show any form of compassion towards my circumstances. I'm well aware i'm protected by the maternity provision of the Equality Act 2010. However on receipt of your invoice I still deny that I contravened anything. I insist you send me photographic evidence as recommended by the BPA and POPLA.
I further believe that you have no lawful contract that permits you to pursue drivers for these ridiculous amounts.
I believe your first correspondence was the APPROPRIATE time to send me POPLA codes/ details.
Furthermore, I demand that you either cancel the charge or you supply me with a POPLA code by return. Failure to do either will result in a formal complaint going to the BPA.0 -
Forget that response. Don't get angry, get even.
If you respond at all, it will be to tell them that the are in breach of the BPA code of practice, which says that the MUST include the POPLA code with their appeal rejection, you do not have to ask for it. Note that their non-compliance will be reported to the BPA and also used as part of your POPLA appeal, for which you expect a code by return.
When you get the code, check this blog post to ensure they haven't mysteriously backdated it.0
