Buddleia help:(
Hello
I have a buddleia/butterfly bush ......and it's in the wrong place!
We've just cleared the top end of our garden of 7 years worth of weeds & are laying a shed base & will be creating a sensory area for my son (he has autism)......but this darn bush is smack bang in the middle of where the path will be laid.
I don't want to get rid of it...i just want to move it.
Would i be better to dig it up & shift it or take cuttings & grow a new one? (where i want it)
Thanks for any advice

You wont be able to move it this time of the year , it will probaly die.......Id buy a new one at probaly £5 an that will flower this year, or you could take cuttings and dip them into hormone rooting powder and keep them watered .........0

Buddleias are virtually indestructible. Cut down the top growth to within about 1ft from the ground. Dig up the plant and move it wherever you want. Water well and it will regrow, You may not get much flower this year, but next year it will be back to normal.0

As above, but use some of the cut back growth for cuttings as an insurance policy, no need for hormone powder, they root readily, just poke sticks in the groundNumerus non sum0
