Moving abroad & UK Credit card

I have a HSBC credit card and am planning to move to Spain - the easy option is just to use my parents address but if I did want o change the address to Spain would I be allowed to keep the card. I only want the card for hiring cars etc when we visit the UK.

You'll find that most banks will state in their T+Cs that you have to be resident in the UK. I lived in Spain for 8 months last year and simply didn't tell them my new address. All my statements went to my parents.

And if you do have to discuss Spain at any point the bank doesn't need to know it's a permanent move, (is it a permanent move?) as they might want to cancel the account.

It's a 1 year contract initially. HSBC know as we have consent to let on our mortgage but I think for simplicity I'll just use my parents - as i am for most things! Don't want to shut everything down just to reopen in a year.

I advice you to use your parent address to avoid any complications in the future. It happened with me before and it took me a month to solve this problem - miss-match of addresses -
