Taking my landlord to COURT!
Comments
-
Have you actually tried speaking to your landlord and asking for some form of compensation before launching court action etc? He/she might be equally exasperated with the plumber/builders' continued failure to fix the problem and sympathise with you.
If you launch straight in with court action you could find it followed up with notice to vacate from the landlord.0 -
The real question is how much has the landlord paid to get this fixed and why has it not been over all this time. Leaking showers are dime a dozen and any good plumber/general fix it person should be able to sort out.
Dirty water leaking onto food preparation areas is a health issue. Cannot believe that a bathroom has been replaced, problem not solved and the solution is to replace again. That wont work.
Sounds to me like you have a landlord who is willing to try and sort this out for you. A bad landlord would not have gone through all this expense.
I would suggest hiring a professional leak detection company to look into this. Probably a leaking pushfit connector or something similar.
Legal action should always be seen as a last resort. Be prepared to look for new digs if your landlord takes it badly.0 -
Might be worth posting over on the 'house buying and renting' forum.0

Hope you have found another place to live, because when tour lease expires I imagine you will be looking for a new home.
Talk to the landlord.
Your moaning (as has been said) the landlord is paying for this so he is not going to be too amused either.0
