Erecting small fence & gate on new home..

Hi all

Im wanting to erect a small fence on my new house, it is 3 years old & in the deeds it says I need permission from the house builder if I wish to do anything of the sort... also asks for me to get permission to put sky dish up - which I have done anyway.

As the house builder rent quite a few properties on the estate, I wonder what would happen if I didnt get the permission - from my understanding the permission costs £57 as I applied for a conservatory only 3 months ago.

Any advice apreciated.

Danielle

You could try this question to the solicitor who did your (recent?) conveyancing. Often they will tidy up loose ends like this, within a reasonable time of the transaction taking place, at no further charge to you.

As I understand it if you hold the lease the freeholder can't reasonably withhold permission unless they have a good reason for doing so.
