Facebook & 30 day ban ! are they for real?

Hi All
I am reasonably new to MSE & have been comping for just over a week.
I joined facebook about a week before my comping started (to connect with my one & only friend :rotfl: )
However having joined the new fangled facebook thingy i then got a 30 day ban  for 'liking & sharing' too much (I think)
I can't even contact them & according to some info I dug up on the Q & A section there is no appeal / reversal procedure.
They get to act as judge, jury & executioner
How do you avoid bans ? or do you just not bother with facebook for comping?
( which would be a shame cos there is some nice prizes to be won )

I use facebook for comping but never do like and share comps. I also don't allow companies to post on my behalf (well I tick they can but always change privacy to only I can see.)
I also only do FB comps with decent prizes and do not do any tagging ones.
I have one account only for FB which also has my real life stuff on it, so unless it is a really good comp I make sure not to clutter up my friends feeds with comping stuff.total wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

Thanks for both of the above responses :A
It seems i have much to learn
I am not a technophobe by any means, but words like tagging & other modern technical terms take a while to digest & comprehend.
Thanks & i will learn something new everyday :j:happylove Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves. :happylove0 -
happened to me as well, i just opened another account just changed my name slightly (not enough to be disqua;lified from a comp). i dont do as much liking and sharing now but still getting captchas. i really dont understand why they are banning people for sharing photos, i thought thats what fb was for.0

They also ban people for having more than one account, it's happened to a few people on here.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Hi All
I can't even contact them & according to some info I dug up on the Q & A section there is no appeal / reversal procedure.
I agree with that 100%, having some problems with my account as well and being blocked twice before - Facebook is just a bunch of cowboys, making money on our privacy and ads - and literally not giving anything back ... maybe apart from being a FREE service, so you can upload your snaps for free.... that's about it! :]2014 Wins: a personalised razor, 1x Cushelle Koala, Sony micro Bluetooth earphones, Tastecard for 2 months....
...Good luck to all! :-) Thumbs up and Thanks to all those posting comps on MSE and beyond!! :T0 -
Now I know this post is going to ruffle a few feathers, but here goes. Are you allowed to have more then one Facebook account? No.
If you was to set up a second Facebook account you would need a different email address from your original Facebook account, and you would need to have the second Facebook account using a separate phone number then your original account.
Am i suggesting that you send off for a free sim card that will create you a separate mobile number from your original Facebook account so that you can set up a second Facebook account, No of course I am not.
Really would I do such a thing ???????.....
.
And, what if Facebook shut down your second account that you were only using for comping and was not linked to your original Facebook account. Would you lose sleep over it?
But I must warn you if you do this despicable act, you may be banned from Facebook for the second account you set up.
Could you set up a replacement Facebook account for the one they shut down? Answer - You tell me....Started comping in May 2013. Prize fund so far £2460 -
Also note that people who have been found to have more than one account have had them both shut down, so you could lose your legitimate account too.Luck is believing you’re lucky – Tennessee Williams

Are there really people who only have one email address and one mobile phone number? What happens if you lose your phone? or if your email gets hacked/blocked? A back up phone is an essential and more than one email account is the only useful way to separate different info (personal, comps, utility and bank contacts etc). I also use different phone numbers for different types of conatct as I do not give my main number to anyone except family and close friends
