By the way - I was mortified the other day when my neighbour asked me how had I got away with driving without a licence all this time.....I was gobsmacked and said I passed my test first time over 10 years ago thank you very much! He said he assumed I was unlicenced cos I drove an old car...eh ? ! The assumptions people make because you chose to drive an old car and not get into debt !

But you ought to see the way some people drive, had some asian guy with a woman in the passenger seat in a subaru impreza following me inches behind at just over 70mph on a dual carriageway. Seeing this dangerous driving I decided to tap the brakes to show the brake lights. He didn't back off but when he got his chance he moved straight into the inside lane and undertook and squeezed between me and the car on the inside lane, then in front of me slammed on the brakes. Dunno if it was to p**s me off or because he was at the speed camera or what. Either way a dangerous driver all round. I wonder if he was licensed or got his license on a rickshaw in pakistan?

If there is something wrong with the exhaust it should have said on the MOT fail notice detailing which piece of the exhaust it was. At least in my case it did. For me it was a case of calling around a few places to ask how much a new centre exhaust would cost fitted. Quotes ranged from £40 to £80.

The chap who runs the garage (who is a family friend) says he can try to get the emissions to pass but he might not be able to.
You scratch my back, I'll scratch yours. ;)
If he's a friend he'll get the car through, or £20 in brown envelope will help.
