Here I go in at the deep end and I blame my quilting group for this venture into the deep end of the pool.

I/we have each bought a Samsung Tablet 7in,,,so Hubby might be a Sparky by training but I am supposed to be the IT guru, give me a laptop or a PC and I am confortable, playing, peeking and poking at how things ork, but today I am setting up the Tablet, his first anyway and then after the mistakes I will set mine up.

I have found the Instruction Manual on line and a few You tube videos to help me get started.

I want to make sure Skype is on the Tablet, I have no idea how to do this, yes I have the internet connected and his nornal email account set up, but he doesn't have a gmail account or a Samsung account, he can do this if he wants.

My question.... how do I download Skype to the Tablet:p. Do I have to go in through the games area or something like that? I know nothing about this, Heck I turned Windows 8 back to look like windows 7 because I am app illiterate. Can't stand the swipe screen stuff, give a mouse and pointer any day, but I will have to forget using a Tablet..

yeah you need to get a Gmail account to use Android (the Google made operating system on the tablet) then you go to the apps store called Google Play and then search for Skype, download and install it and off you go.

Thank you for your help..I have skype up and running on our tablets. Talk about jumping into the 21st century in one leap. I love my tablet and The Hobbit is getting involved with his.
