Surely post grad is more like level 7. At the end of second year of degree we are doing level 5, going up to level 6 in third year.

Straight talking? You moved from seeing your child and being a parents to being a part time dad because you only get £50 Pw. How about supporting the children you have instead of me supporting them as we support 4 of our own so why we need to support yours is strange.

Oh the compassion! Milkman of human kindness stopped delivering in your area?.;)

Having kids you can't support is illness or life choice?

How would a year on JSA help them fund a postgraduate degree?

Sorry for the late reply - been away! Exactly - it can't, but they all seem to think it can and would rather do that than get a job that they feel is beneath them. They're my friends, but I do wonder what planet they are on!

Tell me why I shouldn't consider having a time out from work until our boy goes to school?
Ps, she is actively seeking work since leaving her job (in which case we would be better off living together again).

Ummm, because if you give up work voluntarily you will not be entitled to benefits... is that good enough for you?

Call me old fashioned but once you take that step into fatherhood, your duty is to financially support your children, and set a good example by being a mature responsible adult.

Not rely on anyone or everyone else to financially support you , because of a totally out of control welfare system.

I do understand what you are saying, but it is not a path you would be advised to pursue. Benefit claimants breed benefit claimants - I'm sure you want better for your children ;)

Tell that to a severely disabled ESA claimant. No doubt if you have any offspring they will be bigots.
