Thanks all for your assistance!!
I'll be playing the waiting game for time being until i hear otherwise.
I'l be sure to keep this thread updated with any further letters through the door.
Until then, hope you all have a great weekend!!0 -
I'm now in the receipt of a NTO. Is there anything i should look out for on this sheet? Do i just simply appeal now and tell them they haven't got a chance of getting any money?
Thanks.0 -
Just a little update from the message yesterday, i hadn't realised i've kind of slept on the NTO letter which arrived through my door and the 2 week period from the letter is over.
So do you experienced lot believe i should just ignore it now and see what else gets sent through or still send in an appeal regardless of the time frame from the NTO letter?
Please help!!
Thanks0 -
As you've missed the appeal period just ignore - not-Smart don't do court.0

Sorry to keep on everyone, i'd just like to know if i should just ignore everything up until a threat of court or should i send in an appeal to Smart even though it's been over 2 weeks since they sent me their letter?
Would really appreciate some guidance from anyone who can help!!0 -
You'll get ever more threatening letters saying they will chop off your arms, kidnap you dog and tickle your hamster but all are idle threats.
You don't need to do anything unless you get stamped court papers - you won't as Smart wouldn't even know what they are !0 -
Haha no one will be tickling my hamster, i assure you!!
Thanks anyway Hovite, i'll just see how it goes and if they finally discover what a court paper looks like i'll come and get some advice then, not that it's likely!0 -

Whaaat?! You have NOT missed the chance to appeal, for goodness sake read the Notice and see that you have 28 days to appeal!
Send a robust challenge like this one, picking out all the flaws in the Notice:

Obviously the stuff about bylaws and airports/railways doesn't apply to your notice but a lot of other stuff will do!
Another example of a strong appeal about a Notice in Broadsword's post #8 here:
http://forums.pepipoo.com/index.php?showtopic=81182
Obviously only include stuff that's relevant to YOUR Notice, by comparing it to this checklist about postal NTKs:
http://www.parkingcowboys.co.uk/keeper-liability/
Please don't miss your deadline to appeal, just because you made some wrong deadline assumptions (which confused Hovite).PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
