Hi again techie friends
Last weekend I thought I had lost everything on my hard drive wen my PC died on me. After posting here, and getting some wonderful advice (which I will be eternally grateful for ) I bought a device, removed my hard drive and was able to back up my photos etc onto the laptop. Sorted !
Anyway, the only thing I have been unable to retrieve is my emails, and there are some addresses that I really would like to obain. I had them on Incredimail , but when I plug in my hard drive and click on it, it simply opens the Incredimail program in the laptop.
Any help or advice would be most gratefully received. Thanks in advance.
Lorna

When you setup Incredimail, the first time it will ask where you want your settings and email to be stored. This is usually program files/incredimail. If you copy the email file across to your new drive it should read them

Still having problems - perhaps due to hard drive ( and original incredimail )being in XP and laptop in Vista ? That is probably a stupid suggestion, even for me lol. But much as I can search the hard drive while plugged in to the laptop, I can't get the emails or even the folders to show up. All the emoticons and letter types are there ( though fat lot of good that is lol ).
Any help most gratefully received.0
