I got a leaflet this morning from Barclays, a 'summary of changes to our terms and conditions'
One of the things I was most interested in was 'Changes that make our terms clearer' and specifically 'We've made it easier to understand how to cancel recurring payments on your debit card'but when I turn to the relevant page in booklet all it says is 'We've changed the Retail Customer Agreement to make it clearer to customers how they can cancel recurring payments set up on a debit card'
That doesn't tell me anything I need to know Barclays

Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

Just to help you they have changed it from this.....b) Future payments made by debit card: we
cannot cancel these payments. You must
cancel them by contacting the third party
you gave your card details to.
OH dear.......
Seems someone forgot to tell them about PSD 2009 :rotfl:
To thisb) Future payments made by debit card: you can cancel
these either by telling the third party taking the payments
or by telling us that you have stopped permission for the
payments. If you tell us, you must do so on or before the last
Working day before the date on which the payment
was due to be made.
Ah that more in line with PSD 2009...Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -

Maybe if you read the leaflet you would note the changes come into effect on 9th October 2013 and you'll be able to get a copy of the revised retail customer agreement at any branch from that date . You can also get a full copy online at barclays.co.uk/rca from 1st August 2013.
the leaflet only tells you about future changes to be made the full details will be available 1st August.0
