Bank of Scotland - High interest Current Acc.

Hello guys,
I have opened a few days ago a high interest current account on Bank of Scotland's Website. Today I have received an email from Halifax (which is the sister bank as far as I understand) giving me a username and procedure how to continue with the registration.
If I am supposed to be registered with Halifax, what is going to happen with the High interest rate of 6.17% and the £100 welcome quids, which were initially offered by Bank of Scotland?
Cheers
