Upgrade to Halifax Ultimate Reward Account

Hi, I have had a standard Halifax Current Account for a few months. I should have really applied for the Reward Account (my own fault) but for some reason they won't let me upgrade to one.
Anyway, I logged into my Internet Banking today and was presented with an on screen 'letter' saying I can upgrade to the Ultimate Reward Account and when I go to my account there is a section underneath 'Current Account' that says Ultimate Reward and it would appear (to me at least) I merely need to click to upgrade to it.
I guess what I don't understand is why they seem to suggest I qualify for the Ultimate Reward account and not the standard Reward account, I am guessing because it involves a fee? (don't shout if that sounds blatantly obvious!!).
Maybe I have this wrong and it dosen't mean I automatically qualify much like the Reward Account and it's just an invite to apply?

There's never been an option online to upgrade to the Reward account...only the Ultimate Reward account.
What you need to do is call them (or visit branch) and ask them to redesignate your current account a Reward account (and obviously meet the T&Cs, ie credit £750 and have at least 2 DDs paid each month for the fiver).0 -
Anyone can get it and it costs £15 (or £10 if you stick to certain rules) a month according to their website...

Phone them or call in to branch to change to Reward.
Don't see Ultimate Reward as an upgrade. See it as a conscious decision to spend £15 a month on insurances.0 -
