I bought a travel insurance with my flight, and after booked it we have received a doctor appointment for my DS heart problems.
We couldnt fly and we claimed from the insurance company and been declined saying that that was not an emergency appointment.
fortunately it wasnt big deal of money but I have learned my lesson again that insurances are just a rip off.
Even if you have insurance they will try everything for not to pay out.
Unfortunately we must pay for car insurance(£400 last year and £1400 this year for a newer car,no claim,6 years no claims bonus, mature driver with 15 years experience),we must pay for building insurance(which we dont claim for some minor damages, because they will shoot the prices up), we must pay for life insurances (this is ok as I get it from cashback sites,so my layout is small but I doubt they will pay out saying that this is new insurance) and I wont go into details of business side of insurances (employers liability, office, professional indemnity, sickness, etc...)

    Who says we must?

    Was it an emergency appointment?
Was your son travelling with you?
If not (and especially if it wasn't an emergency appointment), was it necessary for you to cancel your flight?

Who has told you that you can't fly?
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

    - Mortgage Company

-It wasnt emergency appointment, but because of his heart operations he had to have regular check ups to upcoming his operation at that time, and they have been made in short notice,
    - He was travelling with me
-yes it was as he was 2 years old at that time

Because of his heart condition I got travel insurance, usually I wouldn't bother for myself and I declared it to insurance company.

    Ah.
My mortgage is paid off so nobody can tell me that I must have life insurance.

Was his heart problem declared to the insurance company as a pre-existing condition?
  • I was told by the cardiologist.
  • Thanks for this. If a letter from my cardiologist does not work I will try this.

Or perhaps you could transfer your flight to another date (next year???) using your cardiologist letter as proof you cannot take this flight?
