    Morning everyone :j

It's going to be another scorching day here so I am planning to stay home today and avoid the sun. I had to go out yesterday to the doctors and then walk into town and I was just a sweaty mess....attractive image right! Oh knickers, I've just remembered the girls have the dentist after school so I'll have to go out after all. Luckily it's just down the road so at least I won't be out for too long.

Just packed hubby and 2 oldest DD's off to work/school and my youngest is sitting and watching cartoons until she goes. I don't mind as long as she has packed her lunch, got dressed and brushed her hair. DD12 has lost her ipod for 2 days because of doing a half a***d job of washing up last night. I feel like such a nag somedays having to repeatedly ask the girls to do their chores so taking away the girls ipods is a very effective punishment as they seem to be surgically attached to their hands lol.:)

Eldest DD and grandson are popping in this morning so will have juice and a biscuit on standby.:D I am going to show her how to make tacos as we are having them for tea tonight so I want to prepare the fillings and salad.

Evil kittens and fat cat are demanding their breakfast so I will have to sort them out, although one of the kittens has found a feather and is having a lovely time chasing it up and down the dining room. the racket is unbelievable.

Gentle hugs for all who want one, cheers m'dears x

    Morning all,

Glad your dd is home FS at least she can rest well there.
Just had a run in with DS as he has left both mine and his own headphones at his gf's. so I can't use my phone at the gym this morning:mad:
Lovely evening in the garden last night with my brother and his wife. We get on fine, just have very different views of the world and life in general. Still we usually find a middle ground and get on ok;)
Looking forward to the gym and a nice swim this morning.
Had a nice big bowl of strawberries out of the garden yummy.
Going to have my first day of fasting tomorrow and maybe another on Monday.
I've decided to give up WW for good, it doesn't work for me. I mainly go to see my friends have a natter and socialise however I can't afford it and its not effective. Going to let them both know today and not be persuaded otherwise. They don't know the extent of our financial difficulties and I want to keep it that way. One friend I see anyway as she lives very close. The other one not so much but shall make the effort to see her once a month for coffee.
I'm desperate to sort out my wardrobe and knicker draw. They are both full of things that either don't fit or I don't like. It annoys me every time I open the door. There must be lots I can ebay.
DGS is spottier than ever this morning, he's gone to his other gran's this morning, only signs left from yesterday are two perfect little handprints on my French windows. Gosh we were pooped after he'd gone home:p
Need to get the box sorted this afternoon for Australia definitely needs doing and sending, definitely:D
Bit more overcast today but still warm, glad of a bit of a rest. I'm very fare skinned and burn so easily.
Have a good day all x

Another hot and sticky night, but its quite dull this morning, forecast is for sun in the afternoon so will do what needs done early while its cooler!
Still can't think what to get DS for his birthday, he's 18 on the 20th, he asked for a Belgian Shepherd, not a chance just now of a dog as we have OH's very old crazy cat, so then he said get me whatever you think I will like..............a pizza and a few gallons of fizzy juice?????? Will seriously need to get my thinking cap on!
Right, off to get busy before the heat returns!
Gentle hugs where needed, have a good day all!

    It's another lovely day here.

We are having a BBQ lunch today. DH went down to a 4 day week in late summer of 2011. At the time we said, we 'd be able to have BBQ's on Wednesday all the time in the summer. What with last years terrible summer this will be the first time we've managed a Wednesday BBQ!

I've got washing out on the line drying, and will iron it later. Apart from that will do some tidying in the garden.

Best wishes to all who are not feeling so good.

...Dinner tonight is a chicken curry, I am not sure how wise that is in this heat, but I did the meal plan ages ago and its all made and in the fridge, just need to pop it in the oven when I get in....

Its supposed to be good to eat curry / spicy food in heat as your body cools itself down...we had h/m chicken & spinach curry last night, with allotment spinach, shallots & 2 baby courgettes snuck in :)

...iv been feeling very sorry for my two Cats the last few days, They don't know were to get because of the heat. They have spent there time flopping themselves down In the garden, Stopping there for a bit then moving on and flopping down somewhere else....

My old cat Stanley was a big fat thing - he would either lie under the shrubs or sit on the fence under the old tree in the back garden when it was hot, but when it was too warm for him he would curl up in the garage - and occasionally he'd be found lying on the lino in the downstair loo as it was always cold in there!

    Good morning everyone :)

Not a good night with combination of heat and pain from arm. Will be trying to see if I can finish early or at least on time today because I think I am going to be exhausted by lunch time.

Salmon and stir fried bean sprouts and veggies for dinner. Cold omelette and sausages for lunches. DH was wonderful last night and did everything he possibly could to help.

I should not be moaning as I know some people live with pain like this every day and special respect, love and very gentle hugs offered - you know who you are.
Awww, sweetie, you're perfectly entitled to moan (((gentle HUG))) Look at it from the other side - I'm used to this carp every flippin' day. It's standard procedure to stop and think before moving, because a careless gesture, such as reaching backwards to pick something up, hurts. I've had practise at working out different ways to do tasks to take account of my situation. For you, this is all new and unusual, and not at all pleasant. Cut yourself some slack, rest like you've been told, let DH do everything for you (frequent comments like "thanks sweetheart, you're the best" keeps them motivated;)) and hopefully you'll be back to normal before you know it!:o

FS lots of healing vibes for DD - I had that pain from air inserted for an op, when I had my tubal ligation. If it's any comfort, it will get better by the day; and I'm sure she'll convalesce much better at home. I hope she enjoyed her veggies in gravy.:o

While I'm here, healing vibes for Halight, too. I can only assume your body needs the rest, if you're sleeping during the day.:o
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)

    Afternoon all,

(((((Hugs))))) TTFTM hope the pain from your arm eases soon. Bought any braces yet? :D

Forever saving. Hope your daughter feels better soon. She's fortunate to have such a lovely Mum to look after her.

Julie67 I hope you enjoyed your time at the gym and swim this morning. I miss my mornings at the gym but I miss the swimming even more.

Jools i'm sure whatever you get DS for his birthday he will appreciate. It was my eldest daughters birthday yesterday she was 31. I'm sad that she is so far away but she had a lovely birthday.

Tea will be beef. Mince made into burgers I think. Not sure what to do with them though.

Right, I think my washing should be dry by now. I like to get the clothes off the line before they completely dry.

    ((((Hugs)))) Lamewolf.

    Has anyone heard from Hilstep?

    Have a good day all,

    Afternoon All,

TTFTM - bad girl, I agree with redruby, being a martyr going to work is going to prolong your recovery. You need rest.
Forever Saver - my OH had air pumped into her when she had her gallbladder out in March. She was told to do her best to get "rid" of the air (top and bottom) to avoid it going to her shoulders as it would be extremely painful if it reached there. Thankfully after a day or two she managed to get rid of most of it.
Halight - we are not used to this heat and it is taking it's toll on the fittest, never mind those recovering such as yourself. You need to limit yourself, hard as that will be, to make your energy last through the day.

Well after a misty start it is another glorious day here too, with the temperature rising fast. It was unbearable in the office yesterday, but at least there are only four hours until home time.

Wife's foot is not as bad as I expected, after the altercation with the iron yesterday, though she was still in some discomfort last night.

Hardup Hester - (puts hand in pocket) I love a bargain, wonder have I 50p? ;) (See her post from yesterday to understand!).

Have a lovely day everyone.

    Afternoon all

    LOL Hester :rotfl:.

Well back from foodbank duty-a bit warm to be "working". I have been slunped in the chair for an hour with a coffee but feel a bit more human now.

Tea will be omelettes with new potatoes and salad when I summon up a bit more energy.

OH out tonight at train club so will have a quiet evening.

The spare room is finished so need to buy some carpet and get it fitted. Also a new lampshade and we will see if we can find room for a small wood and cloth wardrobe unit thingy in there. It really is a tiny room. I could then use it for other storage when it's not in use as a bedroom. Must have a look at Arg*s. We are keeping the I*ea bed chair in there for the moment.

Hooray I also have curtains in our bedroom now instead of just vertical blinds. OH and DS put up the pole and hung the curtains this morning. They are blackout curtains as our bedroom faces the sunrise so I am hoping for a bit more of a lie in these sunny mornings.

Well hugs and kind words to all poorlies and peed offs. Have a nice evening. Join me in the garden for P*mm's elderflower and blackcurrant anyone? Help yourselves to ice.
