Good news, bad news and back to good ... Festival of Speed Tickets

Received a call this morning to advise I had been selected to receive 2 tickets to the Goodwood Festival Of Speed for this Thursday / Friday from this comp (I think.... I'm sure he mentioned Piston Heads... 
) Huge thanks to centsible

The prize included a nights accommodation in the Snoozebox (pop-up hotel), parking, evening meal, entertainment, breakfast and tickets to the festival - my dad has always wanted to go and I had entered trying to win tickets for his 60th last week..... so very happily I called him to let him know ......
.....unfortunately my grandad who has been in hospital a couple of weeks received his date today for his op .... yep you guessed its scheduled for Thursday!!!! I rang the promoter from Michelin - thanked him and explained the situation but my dad couldn't accept the prize as he wants to be around for my grandparents.....

On visiting the hospital an hour later we were told the operation has now been postponed until Monday ... :eek::eek::eek:
...... I cheekily rang Michelin back - the lovely promoter hadn't reallocated them and was more than happy for me to accept them (second time round....!!!) Yeahhhhhh - its been a dream of my dads to go and now he's going with the full works in a package worth around £500 .... It will be great for him to have a lovely night away doing something he enjoys before the stress next week of hospital visiting etc! I love wins where I can make other people happy:D:D
