hiya, no idea where to go for help!! Firefox did an update yesterday and ever since I have been unable to view any web pages in it. If i click on a link for email, input the address, press home for google, anything I get nothing. Done comes up on teh bottom left of the screen but nowt else happens. As you can see I canstill access the internet thru IE but I can;t get into my bank for some reason through this. Have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox but no change. Hubby normally deals with techie stuff but he is away until Xmas and not very contacable so all help woudl be brilliant.

thank you thank you in advance.

Have you tried uninstalling it, delete the installation folder (or install to a new location) and re-installing?

Temporarily disable your firewall to see if that's the problem. If it is, you'll need to allow Firefox through the firewall, though you should normally get a pop-up message asking you to block or allow when it first tried to access the internet.

did your firewall program pop up and say that Firefox has changed (after the update) and should it be allowed to access the internet?
If you answered no, the firewall would block Firefox but still allow the unchanged IE, firefox would no longer have acccess to the www.
Try to open the firewall settings pages and see if you can give Firefox its old permissions back.

Install and run https://www.ccleaner.com to clear out temp files and other junk. Make sure Mozilla Firefox is ticked on the Applications tab.

If no joy, try running FF in Safe Mode and run it with a new profile, as detailed in this post about another FF problem.
