RAC - abbreviation for useless?

Options
Hello folks...just passing the time hanging on phone for RAC to get round for answering. This is the third call. The first was at 7 o'clock this evening. Estimated time of patrol arrival...8.30pm. Its 9.15 now. On calling up a second time 'Selina' left me hanging until I'd been on phone for over 11 minutes, wondering if she'd gone for her tea break. I rang off. This third call is now also on 13 mins and counting...bloke also gone to find out what's wrong. Wonder if he'll ever come back???
The RAC use a 0333 prefix...have the suspicion this is making them money.
I note that comments re the AA draw a response from that company. Anyone from RAC care to comment?

  • My partner has just told me that someone posted on Twitter that they were kept waiting for their initial call to be answered for an HOUR...ok...I got off lightly it seems!

Really? I am sat here looking at my RAC card which is new, and the number on it is 0800 82 82 82.

If your mobile phone provider doesn't allow free calls to 0800 numbers, go through 0800buster (http://www.0800buster.co.uk/)

and it won't cost you a penny :)
