You quote me being wrong; then quote wrong.
Have you any information that can link to a 'a nut on the end for manual adjustment', ? Or 'lack of fluid in the hydraulic system causes it to not release?' Are these comments meant to be a joke? Or do you really have no idea what you are talking about, and just abuse people for fun, then get your mates to join you?
The OP says 'well maintained', more than once, and people reply to ME slagging me off. But don't provide information to help the OP...Amazing! I thought the point of a forum was to advise the OP; people are advising me. I'm not the OP !!!!!!0 -

The point of these types of forums is generally focused on helping people. By your own opening statement you state more or less you won't help the OP because you think they're an idiot. The forums shouldn't be for antagonising people.
I'm not sure about the Toledo, but the Corsa B series had a manual adjuster on the clutch cable. So no hydraulics or ratchet mechanisms.
As for the OP:
I'd personally live with it that way. I prefer a high biting point so you don't need to move the pedal as much when driving around (i.e clutch half down and change gear is easier imo than right to the floor)
If you can't adapt your driving style to the car though then i would adjust the cable (if possible) and not worry about the pedal height, you can live with it that way instead. All your base are belong to us.0 -

At least I attempted to help the op, by explaining the different systems.. Others just reply to me! What is the point of posting the system of a completely different vehicle? Rather than generic how they work in general? I give up! The OP wants help, and is replied to by fools, WHY BOTHER TO WRITE IF YOU DO NOT KNOW??????0 -
After a quick search, it seems like the clutch cable is a common fault on this vehicle. £14 to buy.0

I posted the link to a generic vehicle because your post implied that that the option should only be limited to a self adjusting ratchet mechanism or hydraulic and you were very vague to specify if you meant in general terms or only about the OP's car. If you make vague and insulting reponses then don't be surprised at generic replies. All your base are belong to us.0 -

A word to the wise....
Be careful, having the "biting point" too low in the pedal travel, will likely result in you lunching your gearbox.“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Thanks guys but not worth an argument over, the car is nearly the most maintained I've ever had, its just a second car for us, but its history is an inch thick, fully stamped and everything maintained, I believe the bloke I had it off whom owned it for 8 years put the change of the clutch down to his wife simpley running it around town for all the time she drove it, its pretty faultless,
And yes I guess i'd get used to it, but will pop it into a garage just to see if it can be made a little nicer to use, thanks again for the help guys.0
