Saving for godchildren

Hi - does anybody have any good tips on how to save quite small amounts of money for godchildren, please? I would like to save £150/year for my godson but National Savings & Investments have stopped letting anybody who is unrelated to the child buy their children's bonds.. any help gratefully received...

Ask parents to open a Junior ISA and contribute to that? (I don't think that's actually a very good idea).

Tax on savings of only £150 or so per year will be minimal. I would maybe just set up a regular saver account, ISA or similar in your own name and put money in that. If anything goes wrong with the relationship or you find you need the money, then you'll be able to access it.
