Speakers for MP3 Player

I am looking for some decent speakers to use with my MP3 player. They don't have to be portable.
I don't have an Ipod. Most speakers I find have docking station for Ipods only. I have a docking station for my MP3 so that is not required, just speakers.
Any suggestions?
Thank you!

Depends how loud and portable and expensive you want to get really.
I tend to use old computer speakers for low volume/casual listening, my TV dolby digital setup to listen if Im in a music or party mood, and I may hook them up to my guitar amp if I'm hosting an out door party.0 -

Thing is I don't have an Ipod and I doubt my MP3 will sit in the docking area.0 -

Have seen these speakers in a few places, anyone got either of these?0 -
If you have a hi-fi or tv with the rioght inputs (the white, yellow and red round connectors) you can buy a converter from Paplin for about £3.00 so you can connect any device with an earphone socket. No Links in Signatures by Site Rules - MSE Forum Team 20
