I have bought a house, completation done on June 28th. Still living on the rente property until 19July notice period. when will the council tax will start for the house i bought? the date of completion or date of movein? which is July 19 in my case.

You are liable from completion but some councils have a reduced rate (or nil rate) for empty properties.0

most councils no longer have a reduced rate, you are liable for council tax both on the rental until the last day of your tenancy whether you live there or not as well as the house you have bought from completion day.0

Completion i just had to ring mine today as complete on friday explained i wasnt moving in till monday and said its on the completion date that
