What to do?

Very long story short.

I own a house with approx 50k equity in.

Desperately want/need to move due to neighbours.

There is a official complaint against them with Enviromental Health and Police which I will obviously have to declare.

Family have said they will pay for me to rent for 6 months just to get out but finding somewhere with my pets is proving very difficult, if not impossible.

Tied with location due to school.

Will become unemployed end of July - have disabled son so can claim Income support/Mortgage Interest payments in the short term. I am confident I can get some employment come September.

Options seem to be;

1. Rent somewhere else, rent this out. - Animals huge issue.
2. Stay put until I have job and then sell/buy
3. Sell here and then rent - again animals an issue.

Can anyone see any pros/cons of any of the above?

Thanks in advance.

    Sell house, offer 6 months of rent up front and potentially extra deposit due to pets. Visit every letting agent in town and tell them you will do this if they can find you a suitable property that will accept pets. Don't let on that it will only be for 6 months.

    You may fail credit check due to no job. Show proof that your house is on the market as evidence you will have funds to continue paying should the tenancy renew.

    Firstly, I'm sorry about your situation. I have been in a situation with problem neighbours and it is awful to live with.

    We toyed with renting before our house was sold but we stayed until we had sold. It was very hard psychologically but it worked out best in the long run. I think it is easier to sell a house when it is lived in than when it is empty.

    I ended up parting with some of my pets in order to find a rental property. It was heartbreaking but I had to do it for the greater good of my family although my son was young at the time and none the wiser.

    The only problem now is that I am finding it very difficult to commit to buying a house, having encountered issues in the past. Renting is a breeze in comparison - at least if there are issues, you can easily move on.
