Fresh! Home Insurance

I've been doing a price comparison for my home and buildings insurance. I have made a claim in the last year so my renewal is pretty high.
Fresh! Home Insurance have been the cheapest quote by a mile. However, I've never heard of them before. Are they any good? On 'Review Centre', there are some bad reviews, but I guess only people with something to moan about will go on there. I'm struggling to find mention of them on MSE because the search isn't that helpful when you haven't got really specific keywords.
I know the only people really able to help me is someone who have used them and have made a claim, i.e. a tiny minority of people. But I would still like to hear from anyone who has any dealings with them, maybe an insurance broker, or if you've seen other concerns raised about them on this forum or another one.
Thanks in advance.

They are a broker, not an insurer.
You need to research the company they are intending putting you with rather than the broker.0 -

In reality it is a combination of the two. Ultimately if you want any changes etc then it is the broker you have to deal with again and you cant cut them out the loop and go straight to the insurer.
For a small broker then from a claims perspective it will mainly be the insurer thats of relevance but certainly some small and a larger number of big brokers have delegated authority to handle certain claims on behalf of the insurer in which case other than for financial stability the insurer is hardly relevant.0 -

Is there any way of finding this out without signing up? I guess not.
One of the reviews I read on them was that sorting out a claim took an age because of all the different linked companies that he had to speak to, and they didn't talk to each other.
My renewal with Aviva is £291, and after two price comparisons, only two places have been cheaper than this - including Fresh at £200. My brain is telling me that I should stick with Aviva as I've got first hand experience of how frustrating insurance claims can be, but my heart is telling me to take the cheapest option, because it's so much cheaper, and the likelihood of making a claim is so low...0 -
Right, it's 'MMA Insurance'. Do they have a good reputation? I couldn't find them on defaqto.0

Mma now part of Covea, and no longer use that name (mma)0
