Ipod and IPhone - Syncing

Hi, I have an IPod shuffle which was synced on my PC, and now I've got an IPhone also synced to the PC.

When I try and make any changes to the IPod I get a warning saying the IPod is Synced with another library and do I want to erase it?

If I do this will I lose all my music on my IPod, and how do / can I get around this?

The PC is the same one I've been using for ages and never had this problem until I got the IPhone.

You might want to look at this, perhaps as part explanation of what might be happening in your particular scenario:

    QUOTES:

All iphone has always only been able to sync or manually manage music with one and only one computer at a time. Syncing or manually managing from another will erase the current content. This has always ben the case with all iphones.

iPod shuffle and iPhone are intended for use with a single computer. You cannot load music from multiple computers or iTunes libraries onto iPod shuffle and iPhone like you can with other devices.
