Hello
to cut a long story short i have an outstanding little-woods debt which is now with NDR..i have made numerous offers of repayments which is always refused...I have recently offerred them £150 per month along with a letter saying that if they refuse my offer of monthly payments ,i will only pay £50 per month for the rest of the debt life,
I have also continued to pay £50 per month as a goodwill gesture in hope that a repayment plan would be set up.
Today i received a letter saying: Thank you your query has been noted,in order for us to deal with this as quickly as possible we do require further information from you, Please CONTACT US ON 08448115507 to enable you to discuss this matter with one of our trained advisers
okay im obviously NOT going to ring them but i dont know what else i can do,should i continue with the £50 payments a month?
hopefully someone can advise me...Thankyou

It certainly make sense to ensure you are continuing to pay something a month.
You might want to send them a letter in reply to that email to state that you want all future communication to be in writing and will not be calling them - pick some relevant wording from this template - Telephone Harassment Template Letter
If can you currently afford £150 a month then can you not increase your monthly payment to that amount? that way the debt would be paid off sooner.A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
Hello Tixy,
NDR haven,t been harassing me with calls , i have made it clear in writing previously to them that my preffered way of contact is by letter.0 -
50 is quite a generous offer in the scheme of things; pay more only if you can comfortably afford to do so. Stick to your guns and only deal by letter. Don't let them boss you around, take control.0

If someone told me they would pay £150 then tried to blackmail stating will only get £50 if they refuse. I know your not paying what you could, and would push for an oral dislosure at courtDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

Write back and say you are unable to use a telephone and want all contact in writing. What is the total debt to these morons?
Offer them what you want - it's YOUR money. Be it £1.00 per month.0 -
My usual point with this bunch is 'have they frozen interest?' The Shop Direct Group are reluctant to do this, and they do not subscribe to The Lending Code.
There's no point paying £50 per month if they are continuing to apply £45 interest and charges.
However, if you can pay £150 per month and this clears the debt in just a few months, then the argument is less important. You can just pay it off.0 -
I have been advised to cca them which has been done..directly to littlewoods the oc..I have usually sent a payment of 50 pounds to ndr however should I still pay the amount or wait for the cca request to be fulfilled and if so should I send it directly to littlewoods?0

Unless this is a very ancient account, I think you will find that you signed a valid cca agreement, and they have a copy. But of course it is your right to request this, and the account is unenforceable until they produce it (or a reconstructed copy).
I would probably keep paying. NDR and Littlewoods are both part of Shop Direct so it makes little difference who you pay but I'd address it to NDR.0 -
When first taken out? If pre-2007, then Littlewoods/Shop Direct rarely obtained a valid CCA.
