PPI claim asthma

Hi , please can anyone give me some advice regarding a PPI claim, I have submitted a questionnaire to my bank on the basis that I was told that it would great improve my chances of having the credit are accepted if I took out PPI insurance. however, I noticed that I ticked that I didn't have a pre-existing medical condition. I have always had asthma and have received treatment in the past, should I have mentioned this? Would this help my case if I wrote to them advising them! I didn't consider asthma as a serious medical condition unlike heart problems, etc,,,

the thing is its a non disclosure issue. im not really sure asthma was severe enough to make a claim on the policy, as you usually have to be off work sick for 28 days or more (depending on policy)
