Imagine that there are people who don't have a friend in a dealership ...
I had no idea about cars and stuff, it's my first.
I guess if I received the registration certificate from DVLA it's not stolen, the only worry is maybe it was written off.
The good thing is that it works and hopefully I won't have to sell it soon, still I find the HPI check quite expensive.0 -
I used a really cheap hpi check website when I was buying my last used car. It wasn't much at all for their basic check which covered the important stuff. Can't for the life of me remember which one it was though
EDIT: just looked back at bank account history - it was mycarcheck cost me £4.95 at the time, was worth it for the peace of mind - now it's only £2.95 for basic check. £9.95 for check that includes Outstanding finance and mileage checkMortgage remaining: £42,260 of £77,000 (2.59% til 03/18 - 2.09% til 03/23)
Savings target June 18 - £22,281.99 / £25,0000 -

You don't need to have a friend, either post the reg on the HPI help thread and ask nicely.
Or pop to your local dealer and enquire about part-exing your car. Do it when they are quiet as you are technically wasting their time.0
