Who has a Bumbo???

I need to take one of these abroad (I think!) and need to know if it will fit comfortably in a suitcase with lots of other baby stuff.
Bearing in mind I can only take 2 large suitcases and need enough stuff for 1 adult, 1 teen, 2 kids and a baby for 10 days as well  do you think it will fit?
How big/light are they?
Thanks! :T

They are rather bulky and not that light to be honest I wouldn't bother packing that in a case.
What are you needing the bumbo for, is it feeding, or as a form of entertainment/restraint for little one.
If it is for feeding, you don't say how old, but I would suggest packing one of the inflatable highchairs, similar to safety first/First Years, or I think mothercare do one. They sell at a reasonable rate on ebay, but I tend to be inpatient and go and buy one in the shops. Link to example below.

I travelled around the world with a 6 month old for 6 weeks and found that a buggy that lay flattish was sufficient for feeding a little one in restaurants, and we hired a highchair in the apartment we rented.

unless you think you could get away with wearing it upside down on your head as a striking hat I'd not take one as they are bulky and heavy and would fill a suitcase easily.
get a handbag highchair instead

Fab! Going to stay with Dad so wont be able to hire anything there! An inflatable one looks good.
Ruby will be just 6 months when we get there so will need somewhere to sit for feeding and entertaining.
Thanks for letting me know!0 -
Yup, they are a bit bulky and quite heavy. We used ours alot but I wouldn't have considered taking it away in a suitcase.
JxxAnd it looks like we made it once again
Yes it looks like we made it to the end0 -

To be honest if 6 months old, I wouldn't worry too much even about the inflatable chair. From memory of my 6 month old when I did my round the world trip the buggy more than sufficed, and propping little one on cushions or someones lap to feed in the house will do. You want every bit of space you can get in the suitcase.
Have a nice time0 -

I've got this kind of thing by Baboz. Its fantastic and I've definitely had by money's worth.Threadhead0 -
i wouldnt bother taking one for a 6 month old
like said a buggy will suffice for feeding
if you want to "prop" her up in something try taking a small inflatable paddling pool with you! inflate when you get there then use cushions / blankets inside and small toys etc
can pick one up from Asda etc for a few £s0
