Oh really? Why specifically Scotland? I've read so many posts of people going to court though?
I already told you, the Protection of Freedoms Act 2012 doesn't apply in Scotland. And ignore spacey, he wants everyone to have to go to court, although I don't notice him offering to help anyone.
Just ignore PE. There is no meaningful appeal process for incidents in Scotland so, other than pay up, you have no choice but to ignore.Je suis Charlie.0 -

Hmm ok, sounds promising. just so I've got my facts right. Does it matter that I've only just moved to Scotland and the time of offence I was an English resident?
I've no idea how they actually got my new Scottish address, that baffles me!0 -
I'm sorry I don't know anything about parking law etc. Just don't want to have anyone knocking at my door demanding money, or taking me to court.0

JK,
they won't appear at your door. I have ignored their ludicrous demands a few times now. If they are ever stupid enough to try court in Scotland they'll come for the likes of me first. They will then take such a kicking in court that they won't try it with you.
On a side note, I just noticed that they now describe themselves as "the creditor" on their bog roll. This is a genuine first for me as an accountant; every other creditor who's ever written to me or my employer is actually owed money. Thanks PE, you've given me a new experience for free!0 -
This happened in Scotland so they can't I believe use the England/Wales small claims for this, if they do try it they'll be more stupid than I first thought. You could ask over on pepipoo.com about this if you wish. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

Stroma,
They tried this with me too!0 -
Hi, new to the forums and trying to deal with a wholly unreasonable charge from PE. One thing I'd like opinion on is the lack of a VAT registration number on PEs speculative invoices.
Comments anyone?0 -
It really annoys me that the DVLA sell our details to these private parking companies. There's an e-petition against it if anyone wants to sign.
