Colgate Electric toothbrush giveaway

The Colgate Electric brush giveaway at Waterloo station has not made Colgate popular with a large number of people, having already closed before 10:00 on what MSE said was the (revised) first day!

Colgate say: "Due to crowd numbers we have been asked to close down the stand. Apologies for the inconvenience caused".

I went down there this morning and was crazy. Got a form, but the toothbrushes hadn't arrived at 8.30... not a good start.

Will be heading down tomorrow and hoping for more luck... will be incredibly disappointed if I dont manage to get one...

    And all gone before 10:00.

Discovered a Tweet saying that they were running out fast yesterday. Odd if it only started this morning:eek:

    So wierd.
Well, here's to hoping they sort it out in time for tomorrow... following on twitter to get updates
  • So, has ANYONE actually obtained a toothbrush from the stand at Waterloo? And did they hand them out yesterday whilst telling MSE that they wouldn't do so until today?

Yes I was referring to that one, didn't realise it finished so fast! And didn't realise it was a cheaper toothbrush!!

After the mess with Five Guys opening in Covent Garden and a 1.5 hour queue (to eat their American Burgers with hard earned money!!!) I knew waterloo would be horrendous...glad I didn't go early this morning now :<

The other thread discussing this, including confirmation of people getting toothbrushes this morning:

No - it's not that it finished fast - the event was closed down due to numbers! I was there at 7.15, even was closed down at 7.40. Some people did get their brushes - most didn't. I don't think they gave out anywhere near the 750 advertised.

What on earth made Colgate think that running this at a mainline station during rush hour was a good idea???
