Problem with youtube

It doesn't matter which clip I click on; it starts to load but freezes after 2 seconds each time and won't go any further. Does anyone know how I can fix this please?

Which operating system and web browser are you using? Try a different browser, for example Firefox.

Try installing and running https://www.ccleaner.com to clear out temporary files.

I've installed Firefox and run ccleaner, but unfortunately it hasn't worked for youtube. Any other suggestions? I'm running XP Media Center as my OS.

You might not have the right Codecs installed. Do you see any of the video?

It prompted me to reinstall Flash which I've done.

I see the black screen and it starts to load, and I get to see 2 seconds of the video each time.

I'll try Codecs (not heard of that before).

What speed of internet connection are you on? It might need time to load first.

Try playing one and pressing pause once its started and you might see a red bar moving across. This is the video loading. Once it loaded fully then press play.

I bought PC Pitstop Optimize - it cleared out a lot of junk and now it's playing fine. Thanks everyone for your help.
