Replacement LPG Boiler & TRVs
Our Vaillant boiler is now 15 years old and giving lots of problems, so we decided to get some quotes for a replacement. The first local heating engineer ( well respected in the area) came to look, and told us that he was not allowed to fit a replacement boiler unless we had TRVs fitted to all the rads.
Do any of you agree that this is the case?

Our RGI says you need a minimum of three TRVs to meet current regs, and I guess a room stat.

Why would you not want TRV's and a room stat (or preferably a decent digital programmer)?
Without them the whole system will lack fine control and cost you more to run.No free lunch, and no free laptop0
