Cheapest one way car hire in Florida?

Hi,

We're looking to hire a convertible for 11 days - picking up in Fort Lauderdale and dropping off in Miami.

I know Dollar don't charge for one-way rentals, I've also checked all the following, and best price I have so far is £263 with Holiday Autos, plus 10% Egg cashback.

Dollar
Carhire4less
Holidayautos
Auto Europe
Opodo
Hertz Carhire3000
Usrentacar
Alamo
Budget
Avis
Simplycarhire
Sixt
Expedia
Travelocity
Uscarhire.co.uk

Can anyone suggest anywhere they know of which is likely to be cheaper? Thanks.

I just went to the local Budget office and got a very good rate from there, cheaper than booking from this end.
I think one-way hire incurs no extra charge in Florida regardless of hire company.

Thanks for that. Although I don't think that all companies do one-way in Florida for free as I have been charged extra on some quotes.

Have to say I would prefer to book in advance, as I am very wary of car hire, it's so easy to get ripped off or end up paying for more insurances etc than you need.

Definitely want to book in advance as at least we'll be happy that we've not paid for extras that we don't need - and also that we have the things that we do need! Also as we want a convertible these are usually in more limited supply (I've had problems booking nearer the time in the past for a convertible) I think we probably should book it up.

I always used AIRLINE NETWORK for car hire in Florida but this year they are not giving me the best deal, us carhire.co.uk are but might be worth a try. Is your quote for all-in as the platinum option, tank of fuel, all drivers etc. usually works out cheaper than the fuel options offered at the desk, especially for shorter rental periods.

We used airline network last time we went to Florida - they were the cheapest by a fair way. Unfortunately not so this time though.

Came across a link to uscarhire.co.uk on MSE when I was searching, but they were also not any cheaper.

The quote is for all in. Can't remember whether extra driver was included - it was in a lot of places but not sure. If it isn't though then we'll just have 1 driver as not that bothered.
