As we all know paying buy credit card is safe then debit cards.

I want to buy something but its more then my credit limit by £250 quid.

If i was to transfer £250 to my credit card so they owe me.

Is all the money covered or just up until the limit.

According to the T&Cs, you'll get the £250 bounced straight back to your bank account.

If you try and spend more than your credit limit in one transaction it'll be declined anyway.

So if your credit limit is £500, thats all you can spend in one transaction. You may be able to spend more than that in multiple transactions.

I don't think that the protection you get is capped by your credit limit.

It may be bounced that is not the same as it will be bounced.

You still get the protection if you pay just part of the cost by CC, so you could pay up to or close to your limit with the CC and the balance by DC.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.

This is the correct way to go about it.
