http://imagine-living.com/ Ordered a table from here that I have been looking for but now having doubts as cannot find any reviews etc. Looks ok. They have responded to emails and calls etc but I cannot find any reviews good or bad. I paid by credit card online so is it a case of just waiting and if any issues contact credit card company for help to get money refunded ?

I'm not quite clear what you are anticipating the problem might be ? Check out your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations - basically as you ordered online if you don't like the table for any reason you can let them know within seven days that you want to return it - it doesn't have to be faulty or anything. You may be liable for the cost of returning it though - it depends on the company's T&Cs.
The company doesn't appear to be in administration and you say they are answering calls and emails so in the case of any issues your first step is to get in touch with the company and give them a chance to put it right.
If you get no joy from the company / your goods don't turn up and the table cost more than £100 then you can go to the credit card company and under Section 75 of the consumer Credit Act they are jointly liable.0 -
If you ordered online then you have 7 working days from the day after delivery to return the item for a full refund including the delivery charge, but you'll have to pay the return costs if that's what the terms and conditions say.
I'm not sure what your concern is though. Are you worried the item isn't good enough, or that the company isn't trustworthy?
Was the table more than £100?0 -
Have you changed your mind and now no longer want the table you have ordered?urbanlegend11 wrote: »http://imagine-living.com/ Ordered a table from here that I have been looking for but now having doubts as cannot find any reviews etc. Looks ok. If so, you have up to seven working days after delivery of your order to cancel under Distance Selling Regulations.
As your order is yet to be delivered, you are within that timeframe.
If however, you want to continue with the order, then contacting your credit card company about a refund is certainly one way of proceeding if something is wrong. Another way, possibly more straightforward way, is to contact the seller.
Remember, you may well be responsible for the cost of returning the thing should you change your mind after delivery.0 -

Sorry my wording is not very clear. I really want the table. I have seen the particular table in another store so I know its of good quality. Its one ive been looking out for online. Thing is I normally buy from Amazon etc so am just slightly worried purchasing such an expensive item from a company I have not heard of. The table will not be delivered for a few weeks so I was just wondering how easy it would be to claim the money back if there was an issue later.0

Was the table more than £100?
The table is £6490 -
Given that you purchased on a credit card and the item is more than £100 then you are covered by Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act 1979. The credit company are equally liable to the sellers obligations and you can claim against them if you want to.
There will probably be nothing wrong though.0
