Grr! Plastic envelopes shredding

Hi all
This has been bugging me for quite a while. Basically I am in the good habit of shredding anything with my name on it, but often times labels are printed on materials which do not easily glide down the shredder. I have also had the unpleasant experience of jamming up my shredder with a padded envelope.
Don't tell me to take my name off the envelopes, and shred just the tiny bit of paper where it's printed, 'cause it's always a hassle, and often impossible.
Soooo... My intended solution is to buy a proper, "industrial" strength shredder - something that would swallow plastic envelopes down without jamming up.
I am not sure such a shredder do in fact exists though. What about these machines:

They do shred CDs and credit cards, but I am not sure if that implies soft plastic is ok too - as that can easily become intertwined with the shredder blades.
Any advice or experience welcome.

My guess is it'll go through, but just be scored rather than shredded. I only get a couple a week, so I either cut them or stretch them until they are unreadable.0

on the padded envelopes i take of the label with my name and address off very easy, the plastic packaging you magazines in i just binNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20

But binning it makes the entire concept of shredding for the sake of security flawed... They can read your details off the plastic packaging; you might as well bin the paper ones too then. It's either all or nothing.
Moreover, I get plastic packaging (not on a paper label) on some packages I receive which are not necessarily magazines only though. And increasingly so.
I buy quite a lot of stuff on the internet, and I share with other people who generate their own load, so this ends up being more than a couple of times per week for me unfortunately.
That's why I got the idea of going "industrial" strength with my shredding...
(Searched "plastic shredding" on google generated quite a lot of proper industrial plastic shredders, which is definitively not what I want - LOL)
Thanks for the inputs

we've been safe so far so why change what we do, they need other data too dont they to steal your identity, i understand the OPs concern but i wont bother doing it thoughNo Links in Signature by site rules - MSE Forum Team 20 -
As far as I know, name and address is a good start. I've opted out of telephone directories, so that's not an issue for me.
Are you saying anything with *just* my name and address on it doesn't need to go down the shredder.
I've always thought this was *not* the case.
If that's the case I might as well stop shredding the paper ones as well.

Your name and address will always be on the electoral roll - but you may have opted not to be in the edited version ( which can be sold to whoever wants to buy it...)

I chuck things like that on the fire, just the small bit with the address on. The rest of the packaging goes in the plastic recycling.0
